Frozen Shell
Passive

Ice Elemental has +1 Armor (already included in stats). When hit by physical attacks, attacker gains Freeze for 1 turn. Punishes melee attackers.

Tactical Tips

Freeze Stacking

Each Freeze application is -1 Speed -1 Move. Stack multiple Freezes on priority targets to cripple their mobility. Glacial Breath can Freeze entire enemy groups.

Frontline Presence

With 3 HP and 1 Armor, Ice Elemental is tankier than Fire. Use as a frontline blocker while applying Freeze. Frozen Shell punishes melee attackers.

Portal Boost Value

Portal Boost grants +1 STR +1 PSI. For Ice Elemental, this means Frost Strike deals 4 damage (instead of 3) and Glacial Breath deals 2 (instead of 1).

Frozen Shell Counter

When enemies hit Ice Elemental with physical attacks, they get Frozen. Fast melee units like Berserker become slow after engaging. Passive defense mechanism.

Strong Against

  • Fast melee units: Freeze + Frozen Shell cripples their mobility
  • Grouped enemies: Glacial Breath applies Freeze to multiple targets
  • Speed-dependent comps: Freeze stacking destroys turn order

Weak Against

  • Paladin: Smite +2 bonus damage destroys invocations
  • Ranged psionic: Pyromancer ignores Armor with PSI damage
  • Purify effects: Paladin's Purifying Light removes Freeze
