Game Concept

Alberath: The Lost Aeons is a tactical strategy game set in a medieval fantasy world. Players command heroes through procedurally generated runs where death is permanent—unless rescued with premium currency.

Gameplay Loop

Select Hero → Embark on Run → Tactical Combat → Death/Victory → City Management → Repeat

Core Pillars

1. Tactical Combat CORE

Simultaneous planning with sequential resolution creates tense decision-making. Every unit plans their move during a 20-second phase, then actions resolve based on Speed stat order.

2. Permadeath Stakes HIGH RISK

When a unit dies, it's gone forever—your investment of time and gold vanishes. The only salvation is spending Gems (premium currency) to ransom them back.

3. Modular Content PLAYER CHOICE

The game is free-to-play, but additional heroes and their unique faction content cost $14.99 each. Buy only what interests you—no forced purchases.

4. Fair PVP SKILL-BASED

PVP matches are skill-based, not pay-to-win. The gem economy is player-driven—winners charge losers a commission rate (10-30%) for returning defeated units.

The Three Resources

Alberath's economy revolves around three currencies with distinct purposes:

Gold

Earned through combat victories and selling loot. Used for recruiting units and buying equipment. Cannot be purchased.

Gems

Premium currency for ransoming dead units and cosmetics. Can be purchased or earned through PVP commissions.

Glory

Earned through achievements and milestones. Used for unlocking titles and prestige rewards. Cannot be purchased.

Progression System

Hero Progression Persistent

Hero levels survive death. Unlock skill trees, stat increases, and unique mechanics as you gain XP.

Unit Progression Lost on Death

Units level up during a run only. Unlock ability upgrades, stat bonuses, and new abilities—but lose them if the unit dies.

Heroes & Factions

Each hero leads a unique faction with exclusive units, abilities, and playstyles. The base game includes Gareth (Knight Commander) for free.

Why Play Alberath?

Every decision matters. Plan your moves carefully during the 20-second planning phase.

Permadeath creates tension and makes every battle count.
