Vampirism

Buff 3 Turns

Grants lifesteal on physical attacks. Each successful STR-based attack heals the attacker for +1 HP, turning damage dealers into self-sustaining threats.

Mechanics

How It Works

  • Heals +1 HP per successful physical (STR) attack
  • Only triggers on STR-based damage, not PSI attacks
  • Healing occurs immediately after damage is dealt
  • Works with multi-hit abilities (each hit heals)

Duration & Stacking

  • Lasts 3 turns from application
  • Does not stack - reapplication refreshes duration
  • Duration reduces at end of affected unit's turn

Best Targets

  • Berserker: High STR + frequent attacks = massive sustain
  • Warlord: Multi-target War Strike heals per enemy hit
  • Guardian: Counter-attacks also trigger healing

Interactions

Synergies

  • Rage (Berserker): Low HP + high STR + Vampirism = unkillable glass cannon
  • Bleed stacks: Enemies take more physical damage = more healing opportunities
  • AOE attacks: War Strike, Cleave hit multiple targets for multiple heals

Counters

  • Echo Negation: Mentalist removes all buffs including Vampirism
  • Psionic damage: PSI attacks don't trigger Vampirism healing
  • Armor stacking: Reduced physical damage = less healing value
