Mechanics

How It Works

  • Increases target's next ability AP cost by +1
  • Affects the next ability used, then expires
  • Can prevent actions if target lacks AP
  • Forces inefficient AP spending

Duration & Stacking

  • Lasts until next ability use or 1 turn
  • Does not stack - only one instance active
  • Consumed when target uses any ability

Tactical Impact

  • Action denial: 3 AP ability becomes 4 AP (impossible)
  • Tempo loss: Enemy gets fewer actions per turn
  • Priority target: Disrupt key unit before their turn

Interactions

Strong Against

  • High-cost abilities: 3 AP skills become unusable
  • Low AP units: Units with 3 AP can be locked out
  • Key abilities: Deny critical skills at crucial moments

Counters

  • Basic attacks: 1 AP attack "wastes" the debuff cheaply
  • High AP units: 4 AP units absorb cost better
  • Multiple abilities: Can still act, just inefficiently
