Tactical Tips

Burn Damage Over Time

Fire Projectile and Fire Explosion apply Burn dealing PSI/2 True Damage per turn (2T, min 1). Stack burns on multiple enemies for sustained pressure—bypasses Armor/Will.

Fire Explosion for Groups

Fire Explosion hits all units in 3x3 AOE and applies Burn. Best against grouped formations. Be careful—it can hit allies too!

Amplify PSI Synergy

Amplify PSI buffs allies +1 PSI (2T) in 3x3 area. Great with other psionic units like Mentalist, and boosts Trent's regeneration.

Positioning Matters

With 3 HP and 0 Armor, Pyromancer is fragile. Stay at range 3-4 and use Guardian/Trent to block enemies from reaching you.

Counters & Matchups

Strong Against

  • Low Will units: Burn damage bypasses Armor, effective vs Guardian, Berserker
  • Grouped enemies: Fire Explosion's 3x3 AOE applies Burn to multiple targets
  • Sustained fights: Burn deals continuous True damage over time

Weak Against

  • High Will: Units with Will reduce PSI damage significantly
  • Burst damage: Low HP (3) and Armor (0) makes Pyromancer fragile
  • Spread formations: Fire Explosion hits fewer targets, reducing effectiveness
