Mechanics
How It Works
- Each stack applies -1 Speed -1 Move
- Speed reduction affects turn order (act later)
- Move reduction limits tiles traversed per turn
- Stacks are tracked and reduce separately
Stacking Behavior
- Fully stackable - multiple applications add up
- 2 stacks = -2 Speed -2 Move
- 3+ stacks can completely immobilize slow units
- Each stack has its own 2-turn duration
Strategic Impact
- Reduces enemy turn order priority significantly
- Makes melee units unable to reach targets
- Allows kiting and repositioning advantage
Interactions
Strong Against
- Melee units: Berserker, Guardian can't reach targets
- Slow units: Guardian (Speed 3) becomes Speed 1-2
- High-priority threats: Delay dangerous enemy actions
Counters
- Purifying Light: Paladin cleanses Freeze stacks
- Accelerate: Sprite can offset Freeze with speed buff
- Ranged units: Don't need Move to attack at range
